Some are confused about the southern cause and the nature of conflict with Sanaa. Some people think it is a political cause while others think it is an identity cause. Some summarize it in lawmaking demands power sharing issue. The fact is that the southern cause is even bigger than all this. It is the cause of people who have their homeland, history, culture, identity and state. in short, the southern cause is the cause of people whose state was occupied and destroyed, their wealth was robbed and their history, culture and identity were forged.
The conflict between north and south is between the southern people, who are struggling to liberate their lands and restore their state, and the gangs of Sanaa, who insist on keeping the south under their control by force. This is a historic conflict with northern greed.
Separation is not the word to be used here. Separation means to separating a part of an existing identity. Historically, the south was never a part of the north. The south was always an existing people and state with historic roots that went voluntarily into a union with the north who crushed this union under their tanks in 1994 war. It is the right for the southern people to disengage this false union that brought only humiliation, slavery and unjust to the south. We demand disengagement as the union failed and turned into occupation and slavery as leaders of Sanaa and some good people there said by their own tongues. Therefore, it is noteworthy to say it is disengagement not separation.
