Farewell to the South Unless the Southern Make Up Their Minds Before September 6th
During the past few days, I followed all southern moves and reactions to keep the southern cause as a top priority during upcoming events of September, especially the meeting of September 6th.
Actually, I still don’t bite on the Arab Coalition, countries of the regions, especially Gulf states and not even on UN envoy Martin Griffith, UN nor even the international society. My real bit is on the power on the ground. The power that controls the ground will force its terms and anything else will be in vain and the southern state will never be regained. This is a fact that should be clear to every one from the president of the southern transitional council to the youngest southern citizen.
Rights are not granted. Instead, they are taken by force. If you don’t take your right in your southern state by force, this state will never be granted to to by the Gulf states, Mr. Griffith and not even the international society.
Al-Houthis took what they though their right by force. They are still forcing their terms and the international society is recognizing them, negotiating with them and even making deals with them. this is the fact that the southern transitional council and its national assembly should realize. As I see, they are still biting on the Arab Coalition and Gulf states. But I have to say that this is the looser bit as they will grant you nothing. Frankly speaking, I say it honestly as a Gulf citizen, if you don’t force yourselves as a status que on the ground and change this power equation for your own good, nothing will change in the south. If you don’t determine your issues before September 6th, and force a new reality so that the south becomes the hard number in the Yemeni equation that neither Griffith nor the Gulf States can ignore, the future of the south will be at non-southern hands. If you don’t make up your minds before September 6th, then say “Farewell to the South”.
