General Ahmed Said Ben Brik, chairman of the national assembly, exerts much effort in preparing the launch of the first round of the national assembly. This round is the first after the establishment meeting. According to rules and regulations, it is held every 6 months. Ben Brik and his companions are working day and night on the arrangements: procedures, documents, safety and reception of guests and finally, reaching positive outcomes that serve the southern people’s right in restoring the free sovereign southern state on 1990 borders. They work in all directions and with all different parties to fulfill the following tasks:
1. Restoration of the state requires a clear vision about the state we desire. What we desire is a free sovereign federal southern state on 1990 borders.
2. Ruling regimen will be federal and democratic to grant the rights for all with fair participation in fortunes and authority according to real, constitutionally granted, national agreement. Constitution and laws will be decided on by the people.
3. National Flag, Slogan and Anthem will be decided on according to national agreement by any way chosen by the people while the constitution will be the final word after being agreed on by the people.
4. National reconciliation and social justice will be major axes for discussion
5. National dialogue and social participation will be other axes for discussion as top priority for leadership and members.
6. Fighting terrorism and extremism in addition to reforming political and social speech and spreading the culture of coexistence, harmony, tolerance and accepting the other are all major topics for discussion.
7. Security and stability in addition to all suggested steps will be discussed and the national assembly will work on helping the concerned bodies to achieve it.
8. Poor conditions of services, education and currency are all major concerns for everyone and should be discussed to find ways to improve it.
9. Government’s disqualification and corruption will be discussed with clear messages to everyone as members of the national assembly recognize citizens’ concerns about these files and will work to solve such problems by all means.
10. Ending the war is a noble objective and the national assembly will provide suggestions to stop the war according to clear and just rules and conditions as coup militias and lords of war should never be rewarded.
11. Our relationships with the Coalition, especially Saudi Arabia and UAE, are deeply-rooted and historic and all members will work on preserving and strengthening them.
12. All members of the national assembly understand the suffering of our northern brothers in the Arab Republic of Yemen as military and sectarian powers use all means of oppression against them. the national assembly will discuss how to support them according to religious, patriotic and national principles.
13. Safety and security of naval navigation paths are of major significance for the national assembly. We will work with our friends and allies to grant its safety and flow in a way that does not threaten stability and safety of international economic interests.
For three days full of work, our minds and hearts will be open for each other inside the national assembly and outside it. We will listen carefully to every word coming from inside the south or outside it. We will never hesitate in initiating any good suggestion. We will respond to all advices without any limits. We will listen carefully to our friends in the region and the whole world. We will preserve the interests of our people without any harm to others interests. We are committed with our people’s expectations. We are obliged to preserve our martyrs’ sacrifices through defending right against wrong. Our cause will prevail as we payed patience for too long and sacrificed a lot. Therefore, we will never accept a price lower than we desire.
Best regards.
P. S.:
