We all abhor and condemn the actions committed by some security personnel, which fundamentally harm them. We see the need to hold their perpetrators accountable. Criticizing them is a healthy phenomenon—there is no doubt about that.

However, what is heartbreaking is how some have exploited them for political purposes and made them the focus of their attention, promoting them as if they were a “phenomenon” rather than unacceptable individual actions.

It is easy to criticize security personnel, and even deliberately distort their image. However, despite their targeting, we have not seen any praise for their heroic actions in combating terrorism and imposing security and stability. They are the primary targets of terrorists, thugs, thieves, and criminals.

For example, in the incident of Shabwa, soldiers from the security and counterterrorism forces were injured. We did not hear anyone express sympathy for them. However, to condemn the security personnel, dozens emerged from their homes to express their condemnation and denunciation of the disgusting “dragging” incident.

Conclusion: Security and defense personnel in all southern governorates are carrying out their duties under the darkest and most difficult circumstances. We must not forget their suffering, and we ask Almighty Allah to protect them from mistakes and guide their steps.
