Message by the UN Special Envoy for Yemen on the occasion of Eid al Fitr

I extend my wholehearted wishes to all Yemenis for a blessed and joyous Eid al Fitr.

This is an occasion to celebrate the values of compassion and kindness, and perseverance – values that should guide us all in our efforts to put Yemen on the track of peace, reconciliation and recovery.

I call especially on the parties to the conflict to reflect on this occasion and engage on the path for sustainable peace for the sake of all Yemeni women, men and children.

I wish you all health and safety, and a peaceful future for Yemen.
