May 1st of each year marks the International Workers’ Day, also called Labour Day in some countries, in which it began on May 1, 1889, when the first international Workers’ Day was celebrated.
Since then, Labour Day has become a global event, with millions of people participating in marches, rallies, and other activities to honor workers and appreciate their contributions, dedication, and hard work in society and building the nation’s economy. It also commemorates the difficulties they face and calls to take care for them, listen to their demands, and grant them their rights.
This day aims to raise awareness of workers’ rights around the world, end the exploitation they may face, commemorate their efforts, and motivate them by seeking to improve their work and live environment and conditions.
In light of the difficulties they face, workers in our country are in need to be appreciated due to what they are enduring of hard live. It is absolutely essential to understand what they are experiencing and what they face, and the relevant authorities must do their utmost to address the plight of this important group, who are the fuel of the economy in every country.
On International Labour Day, we extend our highest sense of gratitude and appreciation in a message of pride, appreciation and respect to every worker, male and female, and we affirm that workers are the ones who build the present of our nations and the renaissance of our societies, and they lay the foundations for the future of our generations. Therefore, we must all recognize their importance and take them into consideration as much as possible…because the workers are the builders of countries.
