In light of the tireless efforts exerted by the government and the Southern Transitional Council, we are witnessing today signs of a marked improvement in the economic situation, represented by the recovery of the local currency against foreign currencies, and the positive impact of this in recording a slight decrease in the prices of food and petroleum products.
These steps represent a glimmer of hope for citizens and evidence that joint action and thoughtful measures can make a real difference in people’s lives, despite the existing challenges. Therefore, supporting these efforts and backing them from various segments of society is a national duty to ensure the continuation and strengthening of this positive trajectory.
We also call on merchants and businessmen to assume their moral and national responsibilities and take the initiative to reduce the prices of food and consumer goods in line with the improved exchange rate. This will help alleviate the burdens of living for citizens and affirm their role as partners in the economic recovery process.
This phase requires concerted efforts and teamwork to ensure price stability, preserve economic gains, and move confidently toward a more stable and prosperous future.
