SAMA Organization for Development and Guidance Continues its Anti-Drugs Campaign in Abian

[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Abian – Reports [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] [su_dropcap]S[/su_dropcap]AMA Organization for Development and Guidance continued its anti-drugs campaign in mosques and schools of Abian that started in February 1st, 2019. The campaign received major responses on the public level and was welcomed by parents and school principals. On Thursday February 7th, 2019, the campaign delivered lectures in Ahwar, Al-Mahfed, Rusd and Khanfar, as part of the awareness rising program.
Andi Al-Salahi delivered the first lecture to students of grades 1-4 in Al-Awalel school in Gear. She asserted that the organization will exert all possible efforts to prevent drugs abuse among youth through mosques and schools.
Salem Said Abd Al-Kawi delivered the second lecture for grade 5 and secondary students. He indicated that drugs are serious threats that target the southern society. He provided students with advice about how to avoid drugs. In addition, he asserted the important role of schools and families in guiding students towards avoiding drugs in addition to security alertness in arresting drug dealers. Chairman of of SAMA Organization for Development and Guidance in Abian and school staff members attended the lecture.
The third lecture was delivered by Mrs. Khadija accompanied by Ihab Al-Merkashi, to students of the afternoon shift in Al-Mithak scenodary school in Al-Koud.
The fourth lecture was delivered to students of Ahwar Secondary School. Hamdi Said Al-Amoudi, chairman of SAMA Organization for Development and Guidance in Ahwar, talked about goals of the campaign and efforts of the organization id building a drug-free generation. In his lecture, he talked about types of drugs and effects of addiction on human health as drugs turn persons into hostile ones. He also indicated that drugs can be delivered directly as a declaration of friendship or indirectly in food and water. He also indicated that Islam banned drugs because it knocks the individual unconscious. In addition, he talked about the role of teachers and parents in preventing their children from drug abuse. He also indicated that the campaign rises awareness through mosques and schools as some countries are targeting the south with drugs to demolish southern progress that they failed to demolish with weapons. He thanked the school administration for their cooperation with the campaign.
The fifth lecture was delivered in Al-Mahfed and the sixth lecture was delivered in Al-Hakami School in Rusd.
