South Arabia
Public Anger Against the Northern Fatwa of Islamic Imams Association of Yemen
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]A[/su_dropcap] wave of public anger spread all over southern governorates after a Fatwa of the so-called Islamic Imams Association of Yemen that called for Jihad against the south. This Fatwa shocked the southern street as it repeats a previous one of killing southern people under the notions of Islam.
Southern citizens considered this Fatwa as a terrorist crime that approves explosions and assassinations in the south. They also considered it as a systematic criminal act. They also indicated that this Fatwa requires an international stand against it in addition to clear stands of Islamic Imams all over the world and Fatwa Offices in Saudi Arabia and Egypt as it maims Islamic teachings and twists them to serve political and terrorist agendas with all its negative consequences on Islam.
Southern sectors demanded Islamic Imams of the south to prepare a clear response to such a Fatwa issued by Al-Eslah Party to serve its political agenda as the party issued this Fatwa under the so-called Islamic Imams Association of Yemen to fulfill the political agenda of Al-Eslah party, the political arm of Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen.
Several southern political figures and activists described this Fatwa as void due to the fact that it twists the words of Quran and holy speeches of the prophet to serve their political agendas.
Hany Mashour, a prominent southern journalist, said: Fatwas of 1994 and 2019 are similar as they both used the word “conversion”. It carries the same message to image the southern as demons and the victim in both cases is the south. How long should we carry the accusation of blasphemy and being killed under religious void notions? This is a question only to be answered by rational and fair persons.
Another politician said: This Fatwa of the so-called Islamic Imams Association of Yemen urges hatred of the southern and opens the way to kill them just as what happened in 1994. The terrorist triad includes Al-Eslah, Al-Qaeda and ISIS.
Gamal Al-Khadr Al-Muiaseri, a southern activist said: Fatwa of the so-called Islamic Imams Association of Yemen to kill the southern is terrorism and the international society should protect the southern people from northern terrorism of the legitimacy. This is a crime as those terrorists issued a Fatwa similar to the one that justified their occupation of the south in 1994.
