A Consultative Meeting Between the Southern Transitional Council and Cairo Conference Trend Asserts the Importance of Southern Unity

[su_dropcap]O[/su_dropcap]n Sunday January 20th, 2019, a consultative meeting was held between A Consultative Meeting Between the Southern Transitional Council, headed by Ahmed Lamlas, secretary general of the council, and Cairo Conference Trend, headed by Abd Al-Majeed Wahdin, chairman of the executive commission of the First Southern Conference of the Southern Movement (Cairo Conference).
The friendly meeting asserted the importance of southern unity with full respect of political diversity to face the upcoming challenges of the future stages towards achieving the expectations of the southern people in restoring the southern independent federal state on the borders of May 21st, 1990.
Both parties agreed to continue consultation to achieve the following:

- Unifying the southern political discourse.
- Establishing a Code of Conduct for all southern component who believe in restoring and reestablishing the southern state.
- Forming a joint negotiation delegation to participate in the UN-packed political process to carry a unified political project.
