A consultative session with Strategic Communication and Media Department of the Office of UN Special Envoy to Yemen

An elite group of fellow journalists and correspondents in the capital, Aden, participated in a fruitful consultative session with the Strategic Communication and Media Department of the Office of the United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen as part of developing the office’s communication operations.

During the session, which was attended by Mr. Bert Scott, Political Affairs Officer in the Envoy’s Office, Professor Mai Al-Sheikh, Head of the Strategic Communication and Media Unit in the UN Envoy’s Office, and Professor Ethar Shaibani, Strategic Communication and Media Officer in the Jordan Office, opinions were exchanged on how to enhance communication. Between the envoy’s office and the local media, and other issues related to the efforts of the UN envoy and his endeavors towards resuming support and translation of the procedures and confidence-building measures reached by the parties related to the humanitarian and economic aspects that enhance the path of the political process and peace in Yemen.
