A Delegation of the Southern Transitional Council and Human Rights Organization Visits the Central Prison in Lahj to Inspect Prisoners’ Conditions.
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Lahj – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] [su_dropcap]O[/su_dropcap]n Wednesday January 30th, 2019, Gamea Salem representative of the Legal Department of the Southern Transitional Council, and Abd Al-Hafiz Al-Isaei and Dr, Ali Haidara Al-Hawshabi, representatives of the Human Rights Organization, visited the central prison and Temporary prison in Lahj at the building of public health and population office – the Governorate Building in Al-Houta – Lahj.
Prison warden, Abd Al-Salam Al-Gunaid, and his assistants and co-workers received the visit and welcomed visitors hoping that the visit may end with positive outcomes to improve the prison and prisoners’ conditions.
The delegation visited the prison’s facilities and talked to prisoners about their conditions and treatment. The delegation appreciated the efforts of the prison’s crew and warden for their efforts in treating prisoners well and providing them with possible needs under very poor conditions and lack of capabilities.
