A Dutch delegation inspects Al-Barzakh station water tank project in Aden the capital

A Dutch diplomatic delegation, on Tuesday, inspected the site of the project to establish a water tank at the Al-Barzakh station in the Khormaksar district in the capital, Aden.
The visit included the participation of the Director of the Middle East and North Africa at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mark Geertsen, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Janet Sieben, and the Director General of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Aden, Engineer Mohammed Bakhbira.
The delegation also inspected the project site and the most important needs for constructing a water tank with a capacity of 18 thousand cubic meters, with joint funding from the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the German government through the Social Fund for Development.
He reviewed the nature of work at the Al-Barzakh station, including water access, storage, and re-pumping of water to tanks in the Khormaksar, Sira, Al-Mualla, and Al-Tawahi districts, and the nature of the laboratory’s work, including examining water samples.
Eng. Bakhbira confirmed that the construction of the Al-Barzakh water tank comes within the corporation’s plans to strengthen the water system by replacing old components and parts, in addition to maintaining the Bab Aden reservoir in Jabal Hadid and replacing the lines transporting the Tawahi and Al-Mualla districts.
He pointed out that the project will contribute significantly to storing water and ensuring the supply of water to the directorates of the capital, Aden, even in the event of any malfunctions.
