[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]The[/su_dropcap] US Senator Bradly James Sherman, honorary chairman of the Anti-terrorism committee in the US Congress, indicated that terrorism in Yemen is considered as a threat and recent events increased its risks.

In a press release published by “The Washington Examiner”, senator Sherman said that they are observing the situation carefully and they deny that southern governorates to be turned into terrorism incubators, indicating that Shabwa, where terrorist groups exist now, lives under tragic conditions.

Sherman added that Shabwa Elites forces achieved historic successes against terrorism and eliminated terrorist groups from Shabwa in a very short time, a matter that was vastly welcomed in USA. He also asserted that supporting Shabwa Elites forces is an urgent matter to prevent terrorist groups from returning to Shabwa.

Senator Sherman expressed his concerns about current events in south Yemen where two major governorates are now at risk of being controlled by terrorist groups after all reports indicated that terrorism in these two governorates retreated extensively.

Senator Sherman also warned that what is going on in Yemen is serious, especially in the south that is facing agendas to return terrorism back after being eliminated by security forces during the past two years.

Previously, senator Sherman uncovered new US steps against terrorist groups backed by Qatar through Muslim Brotherhood indicating in his previous statements that a group of congressmen sent a letter to US secretary of State demanding to enroll Muslim Brotherhood in terrorism lists.
