Acting President of the STC Meets Newly Appointed Deputy Ministers

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Tuesday, in his office in the capital, Aden, with the newly appointed deputy ministers in the government. They include: Dr. Saad Mohammed Saad, Deputy Minister of Justice; Dr. Mohammed Saree Basarda, Deputy Minister of Legal Affairs and Human Rights; Brigadier General Anwar Ali Al-Omari, Deputy Minister of Endowments and Guidance; and Moeen Mahmoud Saleh, Deputy Minister of Local Administration.
At the beginning of the meeting, Al Kathiri congratulated those present on gaining the confidence of the Presidential Leadership Council in appointing them to their new ministerial positions. He emphasized that these appointments represent a grave national responsibility that requires redoubled efforts and teamwork to serve the nation and its citizens, given the current state of affairs in the country.
Al-Kathiri pointed out that the tasks entrusted to the deputy ministers require seriousness and full commitment, avoiding any negligence or complacency. He emphasized the importance of each ministry fulfilling its role within its jurisdiction, contributing to enhancing institutional performance and raising the level of government efficiency.
Al-Kathiri also emphasized the need to establish the principles of transparency and integrity in the management of state institutions and to work to build trust between citizens and the government by providing tangible services and fulfilling citizens’ aspirations across various sectors.
During the meeting, the Acting President of the Council listened to briefings from the deputy ministers on the current status of their ministries, the difficulties they face, and the plans and programs they intend to implement during the next phase. He affirmed the Southern Transitional Council’s full support for efforts to revitalize state institutions and restore the effectiveness of government work.
For their part, the Deputy Ministers expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to Mr. Ali Al Kathiri for the warm welcome, appreciating the attention the Southern Transitional Council pays to national cadres and their promotion to positions of responsibility. They affirmed their full commitment to performing their duties with integrity and sincerity, and to working to improve the performance of their ministries within available capabilities, serving the interests of the nation and alleviating the suffering of citizens in these difficult circumstances.
