Aden Electricity denies damage to solar station by winds

Nwar Abkar, spokesman for the Electricity Corporation in the capital, Aden, said that there are those who are circulating pictures of broken panels on social media, claiming that they are panels of the solar power station in Aden, which were broken by the winds.
Abkar added in a post on Facebook, “I have never seen a negative people like our great people who search for any negative thing even if it is a lie and not true to spread it.”
He asked, “Do you know that the solar power station in Aden designed its panel bases to withstand wind speeds of 170 km/h, while the maximum wind speed in Aden does not exceed 120 km/h?”.
The spokesman for the Electricity Corporation referred to the statements of Engineer Sami Al-Ghouri, “Director of the Solar Power Station Site in the capital, Aden,” in the documentary film on the construction of the station.
