Aden Electricity Director: Countdown to complete electricity shutdown

The Director General of Aden Electricity, Salem Al-Walidi, said, on Thursday that the power system is threatened with complete exit in the coming hours.
He added, in a press statement, that the power stations have now started to stop, and that he is in continuous contact with all concerned authorities, and he has presented a number of proposals and solutions that must be worked out, and stresses the need for urgent action in order to spare Aden and its people from suffering a total power outage, especially since the temperature is high.
He concluded by saying: The Corporation was clear and explicit and announced at an early stage the fuel status and the nature of the service, and sent a number of letters and appeals to all concerned and responsible parties, and to the moment there is no serious response.
