Aden Security: 8 deaths and 4 injuries among them children and Aden Security Director directs security to help families and affected by torrential rains
Aden security announced that 8 people, including 5 children, died and 4 were injured as a result of the torrential rains that fell on Tuesday in all districts of the capital Aden.
The spokesman for the Aden Security Department, “Captain Abdul Rahman al-Naqeeb,” said that the deceased – were 5 residents of the districts of Seerah and two children who were swept away by torrents in Al-Tawahi district and the death of a person in Al-Arish by electrical contact because of the rain water, while 4 others, including a woman, were wounded in Sheikh Othman district.
A number of houses that were monitored as a primary outcome were also damaged between complete and partial collapse, including approximately 66 partial collapse in the city of Crater, the collapse of a house in Tawahi completely, the collapse of eight houses in the Khor Maksar region in part, and the collapse of a house in Sheikh Othman partially.
Noting that the Civil Defense Forces and all security units and policemen in Aden moved during the disaster and started to help the affected people and open the streets based on direct directions from Aden Security Director, Major General / Shallal Ali Shai’i.
The Captain pointed out that the Director of Aden Security is closely following the work of the security services and the Civil Defense Forces, praising at the same time the efforts of the Civil Defense Forces leadership and the officers in assisting the people in all districts of the capital Aden.
