Aden Security confirms provision of police stations with family protection offices to enhance the role of women in security and social aspects

Brigadier General Abu Bakr Jabr, Deputy Director of Aden Capital Security, opened the Family Protection Office at Al-Mamdara Police Station with the support of the International Organization for Criminal Reform funded by the Dutch government.
Brigadier General Abu Bakr Jabr stressed the importance of the role of female police as the opening of this office comes after the opening of the Family Office in Tawahi Police, noting that each police station will be provided with such offices to enhance the role of women in the security and social aspects in general.

Brigadier General Jabr praised the International Organization for Criminal Reform for the efforts it is making to support the efforts of the General Administration for Family Protection for female police in solving societal problems and domestic violence among society and dealing with women’s issues.
For her part, Brigadier Alia Saleh, Director of the General Administration of Family Protection at the Ministry of Interior, said: “We are opening the Women’s Police Office at the Al-Mamdara Center after opening several offices in the Aden Security Police Centers,” considering this opening a positive step in activating the role of women in security, especially with regard to protecting women from domestic or criminal violence.
In turn, the Coordinator of the International Organization for Penal Reform, Ms. Nguyen Shamshir, indicated that the opening and inauguration of the Family Protection Administration Center at the Al-Mamdara Police comes within the framework of the project to enhance the role of women’s police in the liberated governorates to support peace and access to justice, funded by the government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
