Aden the capital Is Looking To Expand Global Food Support For Families In Need

The Deputy Governor of Aden Governorate and Secretary-General of the Local Council, Badr Maoun Saeed, met this morning with the Country Representative of the World Food Program in Yemen, Mr. Pierre Honorat, and Mr. Rashid Hammad, Acting Director of the Food Program Office in Aden.
In the presence of Intisar Murshid, Director-General of the Office of Planning and International Cooperation, and Amjad Al-Husseini, Director-General of the Aden Governor’s Office. Redha Hajib, the governor’s advisor for organizations affairs.
*The meeting was devoted to discussing all issues related to the aspects of support provided by the World Food Program to the city of Aden. And the existing need to increase support for poor and poorest families, especially in light of the current conditions and the escalating rise in the prices of materials as a result of the decline in the value of the local currency.
In addition to the facilities provided by the local authority to carry out the tasks of the World Food Program, especially in allocating land to establish strategic warehouses in the Dar Saad Directorate for materials and goods provided by the World Food Program.
