Aden the Capital Receives The First African Express Flights and Activates Air Traffic

Aden International Airport witnessed a long-awaited event with the arrival of the first flights of the African Express airline on the Aden-Mogadishu-Nairobi route, after a hiatus that lasted for years.
The resumption of these flights represents a qualitative shift in the air transport sector in Aden the capital, as it will facilitate movement between Aden and a number of African cities, and open new horizons for trade and tourism exchange.
The Undersecretary of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Eng. Mohammed Nasher, confirmed that this step will contribute to stimulating economic activity in the country, noting that flights will be regular at two flights per week.
For his part, the Director General of the Office of the Minister of Transport, Mr. Bassam Al-Muflhi, expressed his happiness with this achievement, praising the efforts made by the Ministry to restart this vital line, stressing that the Ministry of Transport will continue its support for all airlines seeking to resume their flights to Aden the capital.
In the same context, the Somali ambassador to Yemen expressed his happiness at restarting this line, stressing the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries.
In turn, the Director General of Aden International Airport, Abdul Raqeeb Al-Omari, confirmed that the airport is ready to receive all flights, and called on other airlines to resume their flights to the capital, Aden.
