Aden the Capital witnesses a public demonstration in rejection of government’s policies and service war waging against citizens

SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
The capital, Aden, on Tuesday, witnessed a massive mass demonstration, in rejection of the starvation policy practiced by the government against the people of the capital.

During the demonstration, which was held in the Parade Square in the district of Khormaksar, the protesters carried banners with phrases calling on the government to provide all the services that the capital suffers from, especially electricity.

The protesters denounced the government’s silence in the face of the collapse of the local currency, which caused an increase in the prices of food commodities and oil derivatives in light of the low level of per capita income.

The demonstrators condemned the pollution of the airspace of the capital, Aden, from the smoke emissions of the power plants as a result of providing them with adulterated fuel, demanding a serious investigation with those who imported and authorized this shipment.

The demonstrators emphasized that they would continue their protests until the government change, which failed to find any solutions and practiced the worst types of deadly torture methods against the people.

At the end of the event, a political statement was issued calling for the dismissal of the government for its failure and for its policy and practices of collective punishment against the people. The statement emphasized the steadfastness of the southern people to achieve the goal of restoring the southern state despite the economic war being waged on it.

The statement called on the Southern Transitional Council to take serious and quick steps to protect the southern people and lift the suffering of their ignorance, as a result of the practices pursued by the forces of power and arrogance against the people of the south.
