In a press release, Al-Omrani said: “The meeting held by UN envoy to Yemen was to initiate the mechanism of the economic terms of Al-Hodeida agreement concerning delivering revenues of Al-Hodeida ports to Central Bank of Yemen. But the governmental delegation was astonished by other ideas from the other party, in agreement with UN envoy’s office. These ideas were far from the objectives of the meetings”.
Al-Omrani criticized the initiative of UN envoy’s office in Yemen describing it as “incorrect and not consistent with the core of agreements”. He added that when there is an agreement, it is better to devise a mechanism to enforce it and not to open new negotiations about irrelevant details.
