After violent clashes, the southern forces breaks the Houthi attack in Battar west of Al-Dhalea
The units of the Joint Southern Forces managed at dawn on Thursday to break an offensive military operation of the Houthi militia in Battar region of Qataba, west of Al- Dhalea governorate.
In a statement to “the media center of the Al- Dhalea front”, a field source said that the Iranian-backed militias launched a violent attack on the positions of the southern forces located on the first front line in Battar and used various types of weapons.
According to the source: After violent clashes, the southern forces managed to counter the attack of the militias and incurred new losses in the midst of a number of deaths and injuries among the Houthi elements supported by Iran.
In a related context, the brigade of the martyr commander, Marwan Al- Ashawi, managed to force armed Houthi groups to retreat towards the land of Al-Hayqi after their recent attempts to infiltrate and create military barracks near the “Al-Qaffa” site, which is controlled by the “Al-Ashawi Brigades”, one of the most prominent southern military formations, participated in the operations of the battle of “mountain steadfastness ” north and west of Al- Dhalea ‘governorate.
