Al-Awlaki meets with head of the Assistant Executive Authority for Valley and Desert Affairs of Hadramaut Governorate

Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaki, Chairman of the National Southern Media Authority and the official spokesman for the Southern Transitional Council, met on Sunday, in his office at the Authority’s headquarters in the capital, Aden, with Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Malik Al-Zubaidi, Chairman of the Assistant Executive Authority for Valley and Desert Affairs of Hadramaut Governorate.
In the meeting, Al-Awlaki stressed the importance that Hadramaut occupies in the southern national dimension because of the history, civilization, and historical and national depth it represents for the south, pointing out that the Al-Wadi and Desert districts in Hadramaut are the symbol of southern steadfastness in the military and security challenges facing the south.
Al-Awlaki pointed out the importance of developing a vision for the southern media discourse that confronts what the Valley and Desert districts are suffering under the authority of the First Military Region and the dangers it represents that threaten the unity of the people of Hadramaut and their aspiration towards a federal southern state.
For his part, Mr. Al-Zubaidi, Chairman of the National Southern Media Authority, was briefed on the activities of the Assistant Authority in the Valley and the Desert and the ongoing challenges in order to achieve the national presence of the Southern Transitional Council in light of the military and security challenges that the Valley and Desert directorates suffer from and in light of the privacy they enjoy in facing the risks and challenges that beset them.
