Al-Awlaky Explains the Proceedings of the Meeting Between UN Deputy Secretary General and Southern Transitional Council.
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive[/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Salem Thabet Al-Awlaky, official spokesman of the southern transitional council explained the proceedings of the meeting between the council and Peter Brennen, Assistant of UN Secretary General. Al-Awlaky said:
Concerning the meeting between the council and Peter Brennen, Assistant of UN Secretary General we would like to highlight the following:
• The meeting was in response to UN invitation
• The meeting was done at the council’s headquarters in Aden on Tuesday June 26th, 2018 as it started at 5:00 pm and ended at 6:20 pm.
• Concerning the southern people’s right of independence, the response was literally: “United Nations acknowledges Peoples’ right of self-determination”.
• UN asserted that it stands on equal distances among all political powers on the ground
• We asserted that the council is a true and active partner in fighting terrorism with all countries of the region and the world.
• Concerning the security situation of Aden airport, Saioun airport and Aden seaport, we asserted that they are all open unconditionally to receive humanitarian aids for people in the south and north as well.
• The council indicated that southern people are suffering and this necessitates the replacement of this corrupt government with an efficacies government as an urgent demand for improving services and life conditions in the south. The council indicated the importance of replacing all corrupt personnel in all state facilities to improve life conditions.
