Al-Bahsani appreciates efforts of Hadhramaut Authority to limit repercussions of depression

Major General Faraj Al-Bahsani, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council and member of the Presidential Leadership Council, on Saturday, inspected the second phase project for Khor Al-Mukalla.
Al-Bahsani praised the efforts of the local authority in Hadhramaut Governorate, and the support of the military and security services, and community efforts, to limit the repercussions of the depression, which affected the eastern governorates.
During the visit, Major General Al-Bahsani was briefed by the Governorate’s Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Basrih, on the efforts of the leadership of the local authority in its various offices to deal with the effects of the depression, by opening roads, removing rain and torrential waste, and restoring services, especially electricity and water, to consumers.
He reassured the progress of the ongoing work to pump out flood water from the second phase of Khor Al-Mukalla project and remove waste from the project, appreciating the efforts of the Public Works and Roads Office in quickly dealing with the effects of disasters and climate crises.
Al-Bahsani directed for quickly estimating the damage and submitting a final report on the nature of it in various sectors and public and private property, and the interventions required to mitigate the effects of the depression.
