Major General Faraj Al-Bahsani, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, member of the Presidential Leadership Council, met on Wednesday, with the Turkish Ambassador, Mustafa Bolat, at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
The two sides discussed the situation in the country, and the difficult circumstances it is going through as a result of the aggression of the terrorist Houthi militias supported by Iran, and their control by force of arms over state institutions and resources, and the abuse of citizens in the areas under their control.
Al-Bahsani pointed to the deterioration of the economic situation as a result of the terrorist militias targeting the Dabbah oil port in Hadhramaut, which led to the suspension of the export of crude oil, as it provided the state with 70% of its budget.
He explained that the Presidential Leadership Council and the government are making efforts to overcome the existing challenges and alleviate the suffering of the innocent, pointing to dealing with the peace initiatives sponsored by the United Nations to resolve the crisis in the country, in light of the escalation of the terrorist Houthi militias.
Al-Bahsani called on the regional and international communities to take a firm stance against the Iranian militias whose influence has extended to vital waterways in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, and affected international navigation.
