Al-Bahsani calls on universities to prepare researches that address current issues

Major General Faraj Al-Bahsani, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council and member of the Presidential Leadership Council, called on universities and research and study centers to carry out their research role to analyze and address political, economic and service issues and problems.
During an Iftar banquet he held, on Tuesday, in Mukalla, with the participation of the Vice President of Hadramaut University, Dr. Abdullah Babair, the President of Sayun University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Kathiri, and representatives of public and private universities in Hadhramout Governorate, Al-Bahsani reviewed the latest developments of the current situation, stressing the efforts of public and private universities in Hadhramout, to graduate young cadres armed with education and knowledge to contribute to achieving comprehensive development.
He pointed to the role of universities in raising generations armed with science and knowledge to serve the nation and society, by developing leadership skills, enhancing community awareness, encouraging scientific research and innovation, and providing advisory, training and research services that meet the needs of society.
Major General Al-Bahsani expressed the Presidential Leadership Council’s keenness to provide support to universities, to provide research in various sectors, to enhance the process of making appropriate decisions on various issues, calling for the preparation of studies to develop local resources and exploit agricultural and animal wealth in order to achieve self-sufficiency.
