Al-Bahsani meets the French Ambassador and calls for pressure on Houthis to stop escalation

Major General Faraj Al-Bahsani, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, member of the Presidential Leadership Council, discussed on Thursday, with the French Ambassador to our country, Catherine Qarm Kamoun, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, enhancing joint cooperation.
The two sides discussed ways to coordinate in the field of humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of the innocent, in addition to developments in the local and regional arenas, and the role of the regional and international communities to support stability.
Al-Bahsani pointed to the continuous escalation of the Houthi militia supported by Iran, stressing the need to support the Presidential Leadership Council in facing these challenges, and to impose pressure on the terrorist Houthis to stop the repeated attacks.
He appreciated the French role in supporting stability, and the positive positions adopted by France towards the crisis, noting that enhancing cooperation in the security and humanitarian aspects enhances the ability to confront current challenges and achieve security and sustainable development.
The Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council called on the regional and international communities to take firm positions against the terrorist Houthi militias and impose tougher sanctions to prevent them from continuing to destabilize the region.
For her part, the French ambassador renewed her country’s readiness to support the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, stressing France’s commitment to supporting the innocent to achieve their aspirations.
