Al-Bahsani praises resumption of Russian embassy’s work from the capital, Aden

Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, member of the Presidential Leadership Council, met on Saturday, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Russian Embassy to our country, Yevgeny Kudrov, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The meeting discussed the latest developments in the national and regional arenas, and the efforts made by the Presidential Leadership Council to deal with international peace initiatives to end the crisis.

The two sides also discussed the vital role played by the Arab coalition countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and international parties in supporting these efforts.

Al-Bahsani appreciated the strong historical relations between the two countries, stressing the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in various fields, to serve the interests of the two peoples, expressing his appreciation for the decision to resume the work of the Russian embassy from the capital, Aden, noting that it reflects the depth of strategic relations between the two countries.

Al-Bahsani urged redoubling efforts to support the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, to confront the humanitarian and economic challenges facing the country, and to coordinate to find sustainable solutions.

For his part, the Russian Chargé d’Affaires reiterated his country’s firm support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government’s efforts, and Moscow’s commitment to continue its support for the basic issues, extending an invitation to Major General Al-Bahsani to visit Russia.
