Al-Ghaithi calls for transparency to fulfill commitments of outputs of Riyadh consultations
SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
The head of Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, Mr. Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, said that some of us have often avoided delving clearly into contentious issues, escaping from solutions that we do not see fit.
Al-Ghaithi believed in his statements today, Wednesday, that this state of avoidance has turned into a practice that missed many opportunities, which requires a high level of responsibility, realism, frankness and clarity, and the courage that leads us with conviction towards recognizing each other.
He stressed the need to respect our legitimate aspirations, and to understand the common threats that face all of us without exception, and our political, religious, economic and security future.
Al-Ghaithi added that “The divine providence, the spirit of wisdom, and the care of the brothers that I once referred to, today require from us the true will, and the reasons for success, for a joint action that leads us to a lasting, just and comprehensive peace.”
He added, “This will only come through frankness in words and commitment in action, with transparency that is not mixed with doubt, leading to our implementation of our joint obligations and duties, in particular emanating from the consultations of the Gulf Cooperation Council.”
The head of Consultation and Reconciliation Commission continued: “The duty of sacrifice in order to liberate the remaining northern governorates remains present, and the need to respect the will of the people in the governorates of the South is clear, and let me add that development and the recovery of the deteriorating economic conditions are decisive factor in the strength of this existing partnership.”
He pointed out that the continued deterioration of the economic and living conditions of people is sufficient to cancel everything that has been accomplished or planned, rejecting intransigence without right, intransigence without knowledge, obstruction without reason, and political arrogance at the expense of understandings and entitlements.
He considered that they are easy and possible practices, but they are costly, on the homelands and peoples, and on many generations at times, and that we ourselves have examples. Therefore, the many solution formulas that are built on shaky foundations in inaccurate circumstances have failed.
Al-Ghaithi stressed that today we are faced with two options, either repeating what has been tried and building on a precedent that does not exist, and an unfamiliar reality, or finding a true and reasonable formula that will be a solid basis for the future of the solution, in which we do not go beyond the causes and roots of the conflict between us, and we do not jump in it from the demands of the people to the demands of politicians from us”.
He concluded by saying: “we dedicate one conviction in it, which is a comprehensive solution, lasting peace, and a secure future, for a land whose past is Arab, and its present and future.”
