Al-Ghaithi discusses with official of Yemeni file at Egyptian Embassy the Riyadh Agreement and comprehensive political settlement

The Head of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, on Monday, made a video call with Mohammed Al-Erian, official of the Yemeni file at the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, during which he discussed the latest political, economic and military developments in the South and Yemen, stressing the need for the government to perform its duties in providing services and carrying out real reforms that the citizens can feel its impact in the economic file.
During the meeting, which was attended by Anis Al-Sharafi, Head of the Political Affairs and Planning section, and Nabil Bin Laasm, Head of the Communication and Coordination section in the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs, Al-Ghaithi reviewed the historical and fraternal relations and ties between our people and the people of the Arab Republic of Egypt, stressing also Egypt’s pivotal role in the files of security and stability in the region.
Al-Ghaithi renewed the support of the Southern Transitional Council of the coalition countries led by the Kingdom, and the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen in all efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in our country, stressing the need to take into account the facts of history and the reality on the ground and to accommodate issues and actors to bring peace and stability in the South and Yemen.
For his part, Mohammed El-Erian stressed the importance of intensifying and concerting efforts to address the economic situation, and to provide services, and the support of the Arab Republic of Egypt for the efforts to bring peace and achieve stability in the region.
