Ministry of Defense indicated that the militias executed Mohamed Al-Yaseen in Abs directorate because he prevented Al-Houthis from using his house yard, near front lines of clashes west of the directorate, as field for heavy artillery. The statement indicated that Al-Houthis entered military patrols and weapons into citizens’ farms and these acts put citizens’ lives at risk.
According to sources, Al-Houthis are hiding mortar shell guns at citizens’ farms and use them as human shields. Several human rights organizations accuse Al-Houthis with war crimes against humanity as they use civilians as human shields, turn residential districts into Military barracks and recruit children for fight.
