Al-Jaadi discusses with Southern Teachers Union obstacles to launch the new academic year
Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, met on Thursday, heads of the southern unions of educators and teachers, in presence of Brigadier Ali Al-Shaibah, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council.
The meeting discussed the progress of the educational process in the capital Aden, the problems facing the education sector, and the importance of starting the new school year on a specific date.
The Assistant Secretary-General at the meeting stressed on the importance of starting the educational process and continuing it without interruption, as this delay may have negative effects on students, expressing the Transitional Council’s readiness to work to overcome all difficulties and help inaugurating the new academic year in Aden, according to the prepared schedule.
In turn, union leaders gave a full explanation of the difficulties that hinder the education process, the most important of which are the rights and benefits of teachers, as well as the random unauthorized construction that has spread in a number of the capital schools.
In the context of their speech, the union leaders discussed the substitution and replacement processes taking place in the education sector in the capital Aden, for employees who were referred to retirement and replaced with others from the governorates of the North, and other obstacles and problems.
At the end of the meeting, union leaders thanked the leadership of the Transitional Council for their efforts and keenness to continue the educational process in the capital Aden, and the rest of the southern governorates.
