Al-Jaadi inaugurates workshop for the legal department on “Legal and religious basis for restoring southern state”

The Legal Department at the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, on Sunday, organized a workshop on “Legal and religious basis for restoring southern state” under the auspices of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council.

Mr. Fadl Mohammed Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General at the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, delivered a speech at the opening of the workshop in which he stressed its importance and its title to clarify the religious and legal proofs for restoring the state of the South from the unity that embraced and sought by the South before the brothers in Yemen, who exchanged the loyalty of the South with assassinations and privatization of Southern state institutions.

In the context of his speech, Al-Jaadi expressed thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its rapid interaction with the statement of the Transitional Council, and for its invitation to the two parties to the Riyadh Agreement to meet and find decisive solutions to implement the agreement and reform the deteriorating economic situation in the governorates of the South, in which two years have passed since the agreement and the other party has not left its place in this regard.

Al-Jaadi stressed that the outcomes of this workshop should be a clarification to others in the region and the international community on our legitimate and just right to restore the state of the South, which is something we will not compromise on, stressing: “We will remain on our land and on our principle, in which we are the owners of the right, and as long as we have the right, we will win.”

Dr. Salih Al-Marfadi, head of the legal department, delivered a speech at the opening of the workshop in which he welcomed the attendees, conveying to them the greetings of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, and his emphatic position to maintain his covenant to the people to lead them until the restoration of the state of the South achieved.

Al-Marfadi presented in his speech glimpse about the legal status of the South and its seat at the United Nations, as well as the role of the Transitional Council delegated by the people as the legitimate holder of the southern cause in this regard.

The workshop was started with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by playing the southern national anthem, then stood the attendees for a minute to recite Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of the South.

The workshop, in which a group of jurists, judges, academics, activists and others participated in, reviewed a number of working papers, which included several axes related to the issue and the state of the South and the religious and legal basis for restoring the South state, in addition to the crimes committed after the declaration of unity and the summer war of 1994, as well as the Riyadh Agreement and its importance to the Transitional Council and the issue of the South.
