Al-Kathiri chairs extraordinary meeting to review ongoing preparations for “Hadhramaut First” event

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, chaired an extraordinary meeting of the executive body of the Southern Transitional Council’s local leadership in Hadhramaut Governorate on Monday, to review ongoing preparations for the “Hadhramaut First” public event, which will be held to mark the ninth anniversary of the liberation of the Hadhramaut coast from terrorism.

During the meeting, which was attended by the head of the Transitional Council’s executive in the governorate, Brigadier General Saeed Al-Mohammadi; the assistant executive head for Hadhramaut Valley Affairs, Mohammed Al-Zubaidi; and Mr. Mohammed Bamutraf, Acting Director of the Department of Public Affairs and Social Affairs at the General Secretariat, Al-Kathiri was briefed on the overall preparations for the event at various levels.

Al-Kathiri emphasized the need for coordination between the central leadership of the celebration and the rest of the governorate’s districts, and for arranging and securing procedures for receiving and securing the crowds and guests who will participate in this mass event from the districts. He also emphasized the need to make the day of Hadhramaut’s liberation from terrorist organizations a day of victory for Hadhramaut in general, and for the heroes of the Hadrami elite in particular, and a tribute to and appreciation for the martyrs and their sacrifices.

Al-Kathiri reiterated the need to involve various forces, segments of society, and components of Hadhramaut in this celebration, and to communicate with the leaders, coordinators, council members, members of the association, and advisors in Hadhramaut. This will give momentum to the celebration, given the great impact this anniversary has on the hearts of the people of Hadhramaut. It also emphasizes unity, and emphasizes that Hadhramaut is not the exclusive domain of any one party or component. He emphasized the need for full commitment to the project of liberation, independence, and the building of the federal southern state.

Al-Kathiri concluded his speech by calling on all Hadhramaut residents to actively participate, both officially and popularly, in this major event and to ensure the success of all its accompanying activities and programs.
