Al-Kathiri gets briefed on Economic Corporation’s plans in the capital, Aden, to meet market needs

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council and Chairman of the National Assembly, met today, Tuesday, with Brigadier General Faris Qasim Subairah, the newly appointed Director General of the Economic Corporation in the capital, Aden.
At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Kathiri congratulated Brigadier General Faris on gaining the political leadership’s confidence in his appointment to the new position. He noted that the Economic Corporation is one of the most prominent national institutions, which must play its pivotal role in supporting the national economy and alleviating some of the suffering endured by citizens.
Al-Kathiri listened to an explanation from Brigadier General Subairah about the Economic Corporation’s work plan for the next phase, which aims to support and develop its affiliated sectors and meet the local market’s needs for basic and consumer goods.
Al-Kathiri affirmed the Southern Transitional Council’s support for the Corporation’s leadership, to meet the requirements of the current phase and enhance its effectiveness in performing its economic and service tasks.
