Al-Kathiri gets briefed on progress of the Transitional Council’s Executive Authority in Abyan and governorate’s service and security conditions

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council and Chairman of the National Assembly, was briefed on the latest developments in the service and security situation in Abyan Governorate during his meeting today, Thursday, with the head of the Transitional Council’s Executive Committee in the governorate, Samir Al-Haid.
During the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Hajj, Chairman of the Council’s Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Authority, and Mr. Mohammed Al-Shaqi, Assistant Secretary-General for Governorate Affairs and Coordination, Al-Haid gave Al-Kathiri a detailed explanation of the work of the Transitional Council’s Executive Committee in Abyan Governorate and its districts, the activities it has carried out over the past period, and the difficulties and challenges facing its work.
In the meeting, Al-Kathiri stressed the need to intensify work within the executive bodies of the Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate, coordinate work with the local authorities in the governorate and districts, contribute to improving the living conditions and services provided to citizens, and address all imbalances that hinder the governorate’s prosperity and development, including existing problems at tax collection points.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Acting Chairman of the Council reiterated the Southern Transitional Council’s commitment, under the leadership of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, to supporting the efforts of the local leadership of the Council and the local authorities in Abyan Governorate to improve the general conditions in the governorate and remove any obstacles that hinder their work.
