Al-Kathiri gets briefed on the Ministry of Endowments’ preparations for the Hajj season

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council and Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Sunday, with Dr. Mukhtar Al-Rabash, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Guidance for the Hajj and Umrah Sector.

During the meeting, which was attended by Moamen Al-Saqqaf, member of the Presidency of the Council and Chairman of the Executive Authority of the Transitional Council in the capital, Aden, and Brigadier General Ahmed Hassan Al-Marhabi, Head of the Security Department of the Southern Transitional Council, Al-Kathiri was briefed on the Ministry of Endowments’ preparations and ongoing arrangements for this year’s Hajj season, 1446 AH. The ministry’s efforts to facilitate Hajj and Umrah procedures, monitor and evaluate accredited agencies in the governorates and their level of compliance with laws, and mechanisms for direct coordination with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant authorities.

Dr. Al-Rabbash reviewed the Ministry’s plan, the preparations, and the improvements that will be provided to this year’s pilgrims in the holy sites, starting with the grouping operations that will begin in the next few days by land and air, in coordination with the Ministry of Transport. He also highlighted the efforts made to address the problems and difficulties that arose during last year’s Hajj.

Al-Kathiri praised the efforts made by the Ministry in various sectors and the facilities it provides to pilgrims and Umrah performers, enabling them to perform their rituals. He affirmed the STC’s support for everything that would develop the sector’s work and improve the services provided to pilgrims and Umrah performers.
