Al-Kathiri inaugurates headquarters of Supreme Coordination Council for Civil Society Organizations in Hadhramout

Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the National Southern Media Authority, and Ali Saleh Al-Hamimy, Deputy Head of the Executive Body of the Council in Hadhramout Governorate, opened on Sunday, in Mukalla, the headquarters of the Supreme Coordinating Council for Civil Society Organizations in the governorate.

In his speech during the opening ceremony of the headquarters, Al-Kathiri noted the importance of the work carried out by the Coordination Council, in organizing and coordinating efforts between civil society organizations in Hadhramout, pointing out that the role of the Coordination Council and its societal activity, represents a framework of action parallel to the political effort undertaken by the Transitional Council and no less its importance.

Al-Kathiri urged the council’s administration to provide support to civil society organizations in the governorate to strengthen them and enhance their presence and their developmental and charitable role, noting that the Transitional Council and its head, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, cares a lot about social activities and supports them, as they contribute to alleviating our people from living crises.

Al-Kathiri wished the Coordinating Council success in unifying the charitable and development efforts of charitable institutions and civil society organizations in the governorate.

Al-Kathiri got briefed by Raed Mohammed Bajaber, Head of the Coordinating Council, about the components of the headquarters, the level of achievement in its equipment, and the services it provides to associations and civil society organizations in the governorate.

Bajaber stated that the council includes about 40 charitable institutions and organizations, indicating that the council is still receiving requests from associations and organizations to join it.
