Al-Kathiri meets Transitional Council Executive Body of Hadhramaut and gets briefed on difficulties facing its media administration

The member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the National Southern Media Authority, Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, received, in his office at the authority’s headquarters, on Thursday, Brigadier General Saeed Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, head of the Executive Body of the Southern Transitional Council in Hadhramaut Governorate, and a number of members of the Body.
During the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Head of the National Media Authority, Mr. Mukhtar Al Yafei, Al-Kathiri reviewed the tasks and responsibilities of the authority in regulating the work of the media sectors, and aspects of coordination between media institutions to provide a national and responsible media discourse.
In the meeting, Al-Kathiri listened from Brigadier General Al-Mohammadi to a brief explanation of the many difficulties facing the media administrations in the governorate and districts, and the possible ways to overcome these difficulties, and activate its role in covering the activities and events of the local leadership in the center of the governorate and at the level of districts in a better way than the current.
Al-Kathiri stressed that the National Southern Media Authority pays great attention to developing the performance of media administrations in all governorates of the South, as well as supervising the activities of media centers, and training and qualifying media cadres in the governorates of the South through the authority’s media training and qualification center.
The meeting touched on the preparations for holding the first conference for southern journalists and media members, and the need for media administrations in the executive bodies in the southern governorates to interact with those preparations to mobilize southern media professionals and journalists to participate in the conference.
