Al-Kathiri Meets with the Commander of the Second Military Region and Praises the Readiness and Vigilance of Its Members

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council and Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Thursday, with Major General Talib Saeed Bargash, Commander of the Second Military Region.
The meeting, attended by Major General Saleh Ali Hassan, Chief of the Joint Operations Authority, and Brigadier General Ali Mohammed Al-Badah, Chief of Land Forces Operations, reviewed the latest military and security developments on the national scene, the progress of the Second Military Region Command and the Hadrami Elite Forces, and their efforts to maintain the security and stability of the governorate.
Al-Kathiri praised the performance of the Second Military Region forces, the readiness of their personnel at their deployment sites on land and at sea, the efforts made to enhance the efficiency of officers and personnel, and their prominent role in pursuing terrorist elements, curbing various forms of smuggling, and confronting attempts to destabilize the public peace.
The Acting Chairman of the Council affirmed the support of the Southern Transitional Council and the Southern Armed Forces, with all their military formations, for the forces of the Second Military Region. They also emphasized the need to coordinate joint cooperation between the two sides by honing competencies, enhancing defense capabilities, training and qualification, and raising the level of fitness and combat readiness to carry out the tasks assigned to them efficiently and competently.
