Al-Kathiri Receives a Delegation of Yafi’i Hadramaut Tribal Sheikhs

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, received a delegation of Yafi’i Hadramaut tribal sheikhs at his home in Mukalla on Saturday evening. The delegation was led by Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Issa bin Harhara, the head of the Yafi’i Bani Malik tribe, and acting Sultan Iskandar bin Hamoud bin Harhara.

At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Brigadier General Saeed Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, Head of the Executive Authority of the Southern Transitional Council’s Local Leadership in Hadramaut Governorate, Al-Kathiri welcomed the Yafi’i Hadramaut tribal sheikhs, expressing his pride in the significant role played by the Yafi’i Hadramaut tribal sheikhs, along with all Hadramaut tribesmen, in promoting stability and harmony and rejecting anything that would tear apart the social fabric across Hadramaut.

Al-Kathiri emphasized the Southern Transitional Council’s commitment, under the leadership of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, to unifying the governorate’s people and strengthening the cohesion of its tribes to thwart the attempts of hostile terrorist forces targeting its stability and the unity of its people. He noted that Hadhramaut represents the depth of the south and its desired federal state.

For his part, Brigadier General Al-Mohammadi praised the great historical roles played by the Yafi’i Hadramaut tribesmen and all Hadramaut tribes in protecting Hadramaut from sedition. He highlighted the active presence of the Yafi’i Hadramaut tribesmen at every turn and their constant support for the south, the cause of its people, and its political entity, represented by the Southern Transitional Council.

For their part, the sheikhs of the Yafi’i tribes in Hadramaut reiterated their unwavering support for the Southern Transitional Council, under the leadership of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi. This stance stems from their steadfastness and commitment, along with all the people of Hadramaut to the goals of independence for the south as a homeland, state, and identity.
