Al-Kathiri receives British researcher Neil Patrick

Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Assembly, on Wednesday, in his office in the capital, Aden, received the British researcher Neil Patrick.
In the meeting, which was attended by the head of the Research and Decision Support Center of the Southern Transitional Council, Mr. Lutfi Shatara, and his deputy, Dr. Mohammed Jaafar bin Al-Sheikh Abu Bakr, Al-Kathiri welcomed the visit of Mr. Neil Patrick, and heard from him about his impressions of his exploratory visits to the capital, Aden, and the governorates of Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra, and praised his eagerness to come to the South, to get a closer look at the political stage it is going through, and to learn about the organizational structure of the Southern Transitional Council.
During the meeting, Al-Kathiri delivered a comprehensive presentation of the situation in the South, and the important turning points that the southern liberation revolution has gone through, since the occupation of the South in the summer of 1994, through the launch of the peaceful movement in 2007, and the Houthi invasion of the South in 2015, leading to the historic Aden Declaration and the establishment of the Southern Transitional Council 2017, in which the people of the South culminated in a long process of struggle and strife, extending for more than two decades, and then the phase of building the southern armed forces, and the subsequent phases led by the Transitional Council with all competence, during which the issue of the people of the South was placed at the forefront of the pivotal issues, and the basis for any efforts to replace Peace in the country and the region.
Al-Kathiri affirmed the Southern Transitional Council’s adherence to the special negotiating framework for the issue of the people of the South in the political process, indicating that the independence of the South with its state and identity will guarantee the stability of neighboring countries and the world. He also stressed that the South’s relationship with the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates is a strategic relationship, and that the Transitional Council will not allow the South to return to what was before 2015.
The Chairman of the National Assembly pointed out that the Southern Transitional Council, headed by President Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, will continue the dialogue with all the southern forces with their various orientations, and give guarantees to all components that the rights of everyone are preserved, and that everyone is partner in shaping the features of the desired federal southern state, which was confirmed by the National Charter and the results of the Southern National dialogue.
