Al-Kathiri reviews latest preparations for announcement of the Southern Engineers Syndicate in the capital, Aden

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, President of the National Assembly, met on Thursday, with the administrative body of the Preparatory Committee for the Southern Engineers Syndicate, headed by Engineer Mukhtar Ali Al-Shaddadi, Chairman of the Committee.

During the meeting, Al-Kathiri was briefed on the latest preparations for holding the general conference for the official announcement of the Southern Engineers Syndicate in the capital, Aden, which will include various engineering cadres, under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor.

Al-Kathiri also listened from the members of the administrative body to what the Preparatory Committee has accomplished from the tasks assigned to it, including preparing a complete work system regulation for the Syndicate, starting to prepare a general database that includes all engineers from various southern governorates in all engineering specialties, and starting to form the Syndicate branches and nominate engineering leaders to manage it in all its departments in the governorates, with the aim of activating its activity in conjunction with developments in the southern arena.

The Acting President of the Transitional Council stressed the importance of announcing the Southern Engineers Syndicate, which is a response to the urgent need for engineering cadres to achieve sustainable development and improve the quality of projects, noting that this event represents an important step to restore consideration for southern engineering cadres after the great marginalization they have suffered since the occupation of the south in 1994.

The meeting was attended by Eng. Giab Atef, Secretary-General of the Preparatory Committee of the Southern Engineers Syndicate, and committee members Eng. Mohsen Baqtian and Eng. Nguyen Fadl.
