Al-Kathiri reviews latest preparations for launching direct flights between Al-Rayyan and Cairo International Airports

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, President of the National Assembly, met on Thursday, with Minister of Transport Dr. Abdul Salam Saleh Homaid.
During the meeting, Al-Kathiri was briefed by Minister Homaid on the latest preparations for launching direct flights between Al-Rayyan and Cairo International Airports, scheduled to start next Sunday, after a 10-year hiatus.
Al-Kathiri praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Transport in restoring the lifeline to seaports and reopening air routes, as an important step to improve the country’s economic situation and alleviate the suffering of citizens.
For his part, Minister Homaid stressed that the Ministry of Transport and port institutions in Aden and Hadhramaut are ready to receive all shipping lines and import companies, and provide facilities and secure commercial and relief supply chains to all governorates with ease, given their technical capabilities and capacity, in addition to the appropriate security conditions prevailing in the liberated areas.
