Al-Kathiri stresses the need for urgent relief and humanitarian initiatives in light of the current situation

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Sunday, the leadership and members of the Union of Charitable and Development Associations and Institutions in the capital, Aden.

During the meeting, which was attended by Brigadier General Pilot Nasser Ahmed Al-Saadi, Head of the Community Authority Assisting the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Al-Kathiri listened to a comprehensive explanation of the charitable, relief and development activities, works and projects implemented by the Union in the capital, Aden, and the rest of the southern governorates, as well as economic empowerment projects for productive families, and providing support for charitable businesses, to achieve self-sufficiency for women, widows, orphans and displaced families, and support people with special needs, in addition to training, empowering and qualifying young people for the labor market, and honing their skills for production, creativity and interaction with society.

Al-Kathiri also reviewed the strategic plan of the Union, which began to be launched at the beginning of 2024 and will continue until the end of 2026, which included projects and works in various fields, including charitable, relief, developmental and large-scale developmental aspects, to include all the southern governorates.

Al-Kathiri stressed the urgent need for urgent relief and humanitarian initiatives, which would alleviate the current living conditions, pointing to the importance of coordination and joint cooperation with the Community Authority and the Relief and Humanitarian Works Authority in the Transitional Council, and with all concerned parties, to ensure the success and sustainability of humanitarian projects, and their expansion in other areas in the southern governorates, in light of the worsening humanitarian and service situation.
