Al-Kathiri: The Transitional Council believes in partnership of southerners to draft constitution of the desired state
SMA NEWS – MUKALLA
Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, the member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), on Monday, during his meeting with sheikhs and notables of Hoora and Wadi Al-Ain districts in Hadramout Governorate, said that STC carries a project to build a fully sovereign federal southern state on the borders OF pre-1990.
In his speech, Al-Kathiri affirmed that Hadramout will only be a region with full partnership within the framework of a just federal southern state, explaining that the Southern Transitional Council is keen on all the people of the South to be partners in formulating the features and constitution of the desired state.
The member of the Presidency of STC denounced what was being promoted by paid entities about the future status of Hadramout within the framework of the State of the South, stressing that their attitude reflects nothing but falsehoods and false allegations.
Al-Kathiri pointed out that Hadramout was the first starting point for the Southern liberation revolution, stressing that the South possessed its decision and thwarted the attempts of Sana’a forces to perpetuate the state of invasion that it imposed over the past three decades.
He expressed the Southern Transitional Council’s insistence on implementing all the provisions of the Riyadh agreement and consultations, foremost of which is the transfer of the forces of the first military region to the fighting fronts and the empowerment of the people of Hadramout of their right to manage their security by themselves.
Al-Kathiri pointed to the refusal of the people of Hadramout, coast, valley and desert, to be divided in any way, reiterating the Southern Transitional Council’s support for the local authority in the governorate led by Governor Mabkhout bin Madi.
