Al-Khobaji and Al-Kathiri inspect workflow of Radio and Television Unit of the Transitional Council

The Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji, along with Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, Member of the Council’s Presidency, Vice-Chairman of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, the Transitional Council’s Official Spokesperson, on Thursday, visited the Radio and Television Unit of the Transitional Council.
On the visit, that included Eng. Nizar Haitham, member of the Council’s Presidency, Head of the Council’s executive authority in Aden the capital, and Mr. Anis al-Sharafi, member of the Negotiations Affairs Unit of the Council, and Dr. Abdullah al-Haw, head of Media Department at the General Secretariat of the Council’s Presidency, Dr. Al-Khobaji and Al-Kathiri and their companions toured the various departments of the radio and television unit, in which they got acquainted on the progress of work in the various departments, the nature of the work of the staff of each department, as well as the existing electronic equipment and technologies and their role in radio and television broadcasting.
Dr. Al-Khobaji and his companions checked on the spaces dedicated to building new studios for the Aden Independent Channel (AIC), which will be established during the coming period.
At the end of the visit, Al-Khobaji and his companions held a meeting with the administration of the Radio and Television Unit, including the Director General of the Radio and Television Unit in the Southern Transitional Council, Mr. Mokhtar Al-Yafei, and the directors of the departments.
The meeting discussed the obstacles and difficulties facing the unit’s administration and its employees, and ways to overcome them so that the channel and radio could deliver their noble message to the fullest.
Dr. Al-Khobaji praised the efforts made by the administration and staff of the Radio and Television Unit, and their media struggling contributions, and their role in educating the people of the South about their cause, especially in light of the current conditions in the country, praising at the same time the remarkable development and the qualitative shift that the channel and radio are witnessing in facing the media kitchens that target the South and its just cause.
For his part, Mr. Mokhtar Al-Yafei expressed his happiness with this visit, extending his thanks to the political leadership represented by the President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, and his deputy, Mr. Hani Bin Brik, for paying the Radio and Television Unit their full care and generous support, stressing that the radio and television unit administration is looking forward to presenting purposeful media message with the finest means and techniques available to defend the South and its just cause.
